Price tag more to the Canon EOS 40D (body only). But it come with kitlens, no doubt that the kitlen work very fine with this camera. Even though some people with anti rebel feeling will condemned it. Rebel come with simple very entry-level dslr for beginner user. So for double D users rebel will stay as rebel.
